    SENSIL® Flow, is a comprehensive approach for Nylon 6.6 circularity that facilitates yarn, fabric, and, ultimately, apparel recycling processes to eliminate waste and further reduce apparel’s environmental impact. SENSIL® Flow is an innovative approach that engages the entire supply chain to truly attain circularity through product design and partnership. NILIT goes circular through SENSIL® Flow, enabling products and partnerships for a circular economy.

    NILIT made a lot of research and investments to come up with a solution that addresses both the consumer needs for comfort stretch,  in line with Nylon 6.6 benefits, and at the same time could help minimize textile waste. SENSIL® Flow is a family of exclusive yarns that provide comfort stretch. This new premium Nylon 6.6 crafted by NILIT enables durable, exclusively mono-component fabrics to enhance garments with inherent comfort stretch, beautiful color absorption, and exquisite 3D effects while at the same time enabling post-consumer apparel recycling.

    Clothing made with SENSIL® Flow can loop back into the beginning of the textile production process. Recycled apparel reduces consumption of virgin raw materials, natural resource consumption, and the buildup of apparel waste in Earth’s ecosystems. The Flow is not only a yarn. It’s a comprehensive approach an accelerator for the apparel industry to close the Loop. This “system”, actually an ecosystem of enablers: NILIT, Mills, Brands, Retailers, and Recyclers. With SENSIL Flow, brands will be able to claim from day one circularity in their own supply chain – during the yarn manufacturing and during the fabric manufacturing, meeting regulations and allowing consumers to access a more sustainable fashion.

    Through SENSIL® Flow, Nylon 6.6 yarns, fabrics, and garments are going to be easily recycled using a process that requires no additional chemicals and generates minimal CO2 emissions. NILIT is assessing recycling partners to facilitate the efficient recovery and recycling of fabric waste and post-consumer fabrics and clothing that would otherwise end up in a landfill or incinerator. These partners are expected to create high quality recycled Nylon chips that can be reintroduced into NILIT’s Nylon fiber spinning process, resulting in high quality outputs, as well as other engineering plastics.
    SENSIL® Flow is great for mills that need to reduce textile waste in their process, and instead of incinerating and losing the product value, they can transform into a value added output that can be re-inserted in the textiles value chain again, creating a virtuous cycle. Mills can also enable their customers to meet regulations and sustainability goals, speeding up a circular economy in textiles.
    It allows consumers to have the same outstanding performance, longevity and comfort, but with reduced environmental impact through waste, as well as meeting regulations, requirements and sustainability goals. It will be a great opportunity to educate consumers and offer cash-back like solutions, inviting consumers to come back to the stores to return garments post-consumption and contribute to a circular economy.
